Bobby Woods - Educator & Baseball Coach

Bobby Woods, former professional baseball player in the Chicago Cubs organization has more than thirty years of teaching and coaching experience.

Combining his twin loves of teaching and baseball led him to write, star in and produce "Mom, Can You Teach Me How to Hit?".

This is not your typical baseball training instructional video, rather its done with a story line in a conversational manner intended to instill confidence in any youngster uncertain of his ability to improve "his game". With five Coach-of-the-Year awards to his credit and instrumental in holding baseball clinics throughout the country "Mom, Can You Teach Me How to Hit?" is a natural extension of Woods talent, experience and interest.

Some of his accomplishments are:

  • More than 30 years of teaching/coaching experience
  • Former Professional Baseball Player in the Chicago Cubs organization
  • Has won five Coach-of-the-Year Awards at the High School and College Level
  • Member of the Association of Professional Ball Players of America
  • Helped select the 1983 United States Pan American Games Baseball Team
  • Runs nationally known clinics throughout the year
  • Bachelor of Arts in education from Arizona State University
  • A Master's Degree in Health and Physical Education from Rowan University
