For a 200 foot softball home run distance, a minimum of 314' of fencing is required. The fence extends 10' beyond the foul line. To calculate amount of fencing required, multiply the length of the foul line by 1.57. Example: 200' Foul Line X 1.57 = 314' of fence required. Refer to the diagram on the left below.
For a 318 foot home run distance a minimum of 500' of fencing is required. This gives foul pole to foul pole coverage with no extensions. The recommended kits for this would be two each 150' kits and two each 100' kits. Refer to the diagram on the right for more information. Hit! Run! Score! carries Cover Sports TempFence Packages in 50', 100', 150' and 314' lengths. These fence kits include fence poles and a digging tool.
