Ernie Rosseau Biography


Ernie Rosseau is currently the head baseball coach at Brevard Community College in Melbourne Florida. He has held this position for the past 20 years. He has sent numerous players on to four-year colleges and universities.

Many of Coach Rosseau's players have also entered the ranks of professional baseball. On July 1st of 2003, in addition to being Head Coach of the baseball team, he was named Athletic Director at Brevard Community College.

Coach Rosseau, who will begin his 21st season as Titans' skipper has led his team to two National Junior College World Series. In his previous 20 seasons, Rosseau put together a record of over 600 wins with 13 trips to the state tournament and two of the school's three state championships.

Coach Rosseau played 5 years with the St. Louis Cardinals organization in the mid 1970's. He has been a summer league-hitting instructor with the Chicago White Sox for 4 years, and with the New York Mets for 2 years.

In 1993 and 1994 he was the Minor League hitting coordinator for the Chicago Cubs. He took a 2-year leave of absence from Brevard Community College to perform his duties with the Cubs. Ernie Rosseau Knows hitting! . . . he has improved the swings of many major league players while acting as Hitting Instructor for the NY Mets, Chicago White Sox and as the Hitting Coordinator for the Chicago Cubs.

Coach Rosseau speaks at numerous locations and clinics throughout the country each year on the topic of hitting. He has been instrumental in the production of several widely acclaimed hitting videos.
