The Louisville Slugger TPX SLXEX Exogrid -8.5 Senior League Baseball Bat is built along a simple concept: Increase handle stiffness without increasing weight. With Louisville's exclusive Exogrid Bi/Fusion process, using heat and extreme pressure, the sleeve, inserts and metal wall are bonded together to function as a single, solid unit. Metal in the Exogrid is trimmed away and replaced with carbon composite inserts that are several times stronger and lighter than the metal they replace.

The heart of the Exogrid baseball bat is the carbon sleeve, which provides a greater handle stiffness than aluminum alone and has unidirectional fibers that run the full length of the handle. A stiff handle produces more barrel flex, resulting in maximum trampoline effect and ultimately, greater performance.

The Exogrid SLXEX baseball bat features a 2 5/8" barrel diameter, a synthetic grip with a 7/8" standard handle and a patented Pro Cup end cap.
